Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design. LEED is a green building certification program that distinguishes best-in-class building strategies and practices through sustainability and “green” building. LEED building was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and their basis is to certify that buildings are designed and constructed to be environmentally sustainable. The USGBC offers four types of LEED certifications: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum and the number of points a project earns determines the level which will be received. Charpie Construction Company, Inc. has completed four LEED Gold and four LEED Silver accredited projects.
