Chiller Taps Rockford Courthouse

Project Description

The General Services Administration provided a scope of work to extend chilled water supply piping (8 inch) and chilled water return lines in the mechanical equipment room at the U.S. Courthouse (Rockford, IL) for future accommodations to rental chillers in the facility. Work encompassed HVAC piping systems, pipe insulation, patching of wall surfaces and painting, and firestopping/sealing wall penetrations.  Special features on the project included installation occurred while the chillers were operational, and no shutdowns were permitted to mechanical systems.
