Project Description

The Department of Navy, NAVFAC Midwest, provided a scope of work consisting of the design and build of a Marine Corps Reserve Training Center located in Joliet, IL. The 26,134 square foot training facility is a design-build project for the Company E, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion (RECON). It features administrative offices, classrooms, an organic equipment storage bay, parachute drying tower as well as building support spaces. The goal of this project was to design and construct a new free standing building that would replace the existing facility. The mechanical system has been designed in accordance with the UFC requirements, solicitation requirements, AT/FP requirements, and the LEED Green Building Rating System. This project will receive LEED Silver status from the United States Green Building Council.
